In this post we would like to recognize our directory member, Caralyn Edwards of Mystic Reflections who creates beautifully detailed fantasy art sculptures from polymer clay. We’ll have more info on her work for you toward the end of this post, but first lets get on with our topic concerning our color cards collection and featured color of the day.

Color Of The Day #65 - Safety Orange (Blaze Orange) #ff6700

Our color of the day continues on with the distribution of our digital color cards. All of the blog posts containing color cards we put on site in September of this year have been removed from our blog, however the cards are still available as a collection and can be accessed by clicking over to our Color Cards Index. By the end of November we will have a total of 92 color cards available both in the index and blog posts, and we will continue cycling out blog posts with these colors in effort to keep our blog tidy, and build the collection on the index.

Mystic Reflections Polymer Clay Sculpture That’s it for this post, however we would also like for you to visit Caralyn Edwards of Mystic Reflections who creates beautifully detailed fantasy art sculptures from polymer clay, and then hand paints them herself. Her detailed creations will take you to a new world of imagination. She never uses a mold and every figurine varies in size and uniqueness. We’re sure you will want to collect every figurine she has created if you love fantasy art.

NWOAA Logo The color of the day has been a free content feature running on our blog since Thursday, August 31st, 2017. We hope that you may find these color cards we made useful in your art inspiration, and want to say thanks to all the artists out there creating such great works of art. This is the Nationwide World Of American Artists (NWOAA) Directory, and we invite all United States artists, photographers, and creatives to find out how we can promote your work, and get listed for discovery and promotion.

Color Of The Day #64 – Tufts Blue #4062bb

Color Of The Day #64 - Tufts Blue #4062bb

We love colors here at the Nationwide World Of American Artists Directory, and we’re continuing our color of the day series on our blog with today’s new color. For artists inspiration we’re producing free color of the day digital “color cards” and posting one each day. Think of them as paint color sample cards you find at your favorite paint store, only these can be used for sampling directly with your art software (photoshop, etc.), or try to match the colors with your real paint.

We’ve included the RGB, CMYK, as well as the HTML HEX color codes, and we hope you find these images useful in your art inspiration. Please feel free to save this, and all of our color cards to your computer for your own personal use.

We also have a selection of talk show podcasts, as well as some music selections to listen to on our blog. These are primarily on our site for artists to listen to while working on their art, however anyone may feel free to listen. Stop by our homepage to see our newest art talent in the directory.

Free Cross Stitch Patterns From Sullivans

Cross Stitch Patterns At Sullivans

We ran across a great resource for cross stitch enthusiasts who may want to get some free cross stitch patterns and we want to share them in this freebie post. We would also like to recognize our artist directory member, Caralyn Edwards of Mystic Reflections who creates beautifully detailed fantasy art sculptures from polymer clay. We’ll have more info on her work for you toward the end of this post, but first lets get on with our topic concerning free cross stitch patterns from Sullivans.

Sullivans Project Central has some great, and free cross stitch patterns you can download for quick projects.

You will find a Spring collection which includes a “Bluebird”, “Geraniums”, and “Gardens” themed project.

In the Summer collection there are “Flip Flops”, “Sandpail”, and “Sailboat” projects. The sailboat photo at the top of this post is the sailboat project included in these free downloads and it would make a great project to make, frame, and then hang in your bathroom.

In the Autumn collection there are “Fall Leaves”, “Harvest Time”, “Autumn Quilt”, “Best Witches”, “Pumpkin Smiles”, and “Witch Hat” themed projects.

There are six more patterns in the Winter collection which includes “Hot Cocoa”, “Flurries”, “Snowflakes”, “Holiday Wreath”, “Joy”, and “Santa With Bells” projects.

You can find all of these great patterns at Sullivans Project Central.

It should be noted that the page also includes links to some Glendonplace patterns for purchase, however if you surf those links you will quickly find that apparently the website owners at Sullivans haven’t done a great job at maintaining thier website (or at least that page) since the links do not point directly to the exact products they are linking to. We found that you can still find the items by searching for the titles on the Glendonplace website, and we suggest browsing thier website for great products. Glendonplace even has a printed catalog you can buy if you prefer catalog shopping.

UPDATE: Upon further research, it appears you can download these patterns and more here.

Cutethulhu Nuzzling Skull – Polymer Clay Sculpture From Mystic Reflections

Mystic Reflections Clay Sculpture

Here is an awesome, one of a kind fantasy art sculpture from Mystic Reflections created by Caralyn Tucker.

From her etsy shop post for this item she writes: “This tiny ElderGod just wants to make you go a little mad from all the cuteness. My Cutethulhu sculptures are handmade, one of a kind pieces. Each one is hand-crafted from polymer clay and then delicately painted. The tiny polymer clay body parts they hold in their hands are also each handmade. No molds are used in creating my sculptures and each one can take several hours to sculpt. These sculptures are approximately 2-3 inches in size. Sculpting is a hobby I really enjoy. I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoy making it.”

You can view and purchase this item in her shop if still available on etsy by clicking here.

Artist’s Bio: A little over a decade ago, my sister helped me start up my art business “Mystic Reflections.” At the time, I had just a small website and most of my artwork was black-and-white sketches that I sold at craft shows. In 2007, I sculpted my first Myxies (fairy sculptures), dragons, and animal pals. My early sculptures were made from an air-drying clay. I now use polymer clay, having refined my materials along with my techniques and tools.

After trying for several years, I was finally accepted into the Dragon Con Art show in 2008. I’ve been fortunate enough to be accepted back every year, which has continuously made it my largest annual event. To date, I’ve received six awards from the art show for various pieces. My work’s popularity has grown steadily due to the exposure Dragon Con provides, and I look forward to this exciting convention each year. Several smaller shows discovered me through Dragon Con and have approached me about being their featured artist.

Two years ago, I was able to leave my corporate job to pursue my art full-time. This allowed me to dedicate more time to perfecting my craft and gave me the opportunity to illustrate my first children’s book, “The Adventures of Mend.” It was my first experience as a contracted professional illustrator.

Every year, my business continues to grow, and I’m able to create a multitude of artworks for people to enjoy. I hand-make each of my sculptures, never using molds so each piece is one-of-a-kind. These unique creations prove to be the most popular of my pieces.
